Alliaura Marine — France’s Finest Multihulls, Built the Old-Fashioned Way

Alliaura Marine was a prestigious French boatbuilding group founded in 1996 by Alain Rabineau, taking over the assets and heritage of Jeantot Marine — itself the original creator of the renowned Privilège luxury catamaran line. At its peak, Alliaura operated multiple brands from its yard in France, producing premium hand-built sailing catamarans, monohulls, and motor catamarans with an uncompromising approach to quality that set the Privilège name apart in the charter and bluewater cruising world.

The Alliaura Marine Range

Alliaura Marine produced yachts across several distinct brands:

  • Privilège 37–745 — flagship luxury sailing catamarans from 37 to 74.5 feet, designed for serious bluewater cruising
  • Feeling — performance-oriented monohull sailing yachts (acquired via Kirié in 2000)
  • Transcat — motor catamarans combining catamaran stability with powerboat convenience
  • Tresco Line — additional cruising range under the group umbrella

Why Charter a Privilège Catamaran?

  • Premium FRP composite construction — solid below the waterline, cored above for strength and weight
  • Built for serious offshore passages: robust, seaworthy, and spacious
  • Refused production shortcuts — each boat hand-built to an exceptionally high standard
  • The Privilège brand survives today under Hanse Yachts, continuing the legacy since 2017
